Caesar Salad Build Guide version 1.0

Caesar Salad Build Guide version 1.0

---------------------------------

By Narc

Introduction

---------------------------------

Everywhere I go, everyone always uses cookie-cutter caesar salad builds: store bought dressing, store bought kits, etc. And although I've experienced different builds in the Potluck Realm or the Christmas Party Realm, they all come back to the same basics. I feel few have mastered this build so since I've been playing this build a very long time, I want to shed some light using my expertise. The pros and cons of this build are well-known:

Pros:

- Easy to make

- Does well versus other salads in the Potluck Realm

- Children love it

- Works well in team games with a Spaghetti build

- Easy to master

Cons:

- Not the healthiest of salads (obviously)

- Occasionally scrutinized by salad snobs

- Repulsive by anyone who likes garlic

Breakpoints

---------------------------------

Healthiness---------

0%---10%---15%---20%

Mayonnaise to Sour Cream ratio

1:0--2:1--1:1--1:2

When dealing with the Caesar Salad Dressing, you can made an all Mayonnaise build, but it won't do so hot on realms. It'll be very heavy, and we're looking for something with a little more run/walk. As you can see, the healthiness breakpoint goes up slightly as our Sour Cream ratio increases.

Stats

---------------------------------

Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup

Sour Cream - 1/2 cup

Vitality - less than half and hour

Energy - 0, none! (you still don't put points in energy, even in the Caesar Salad Build)

As you can see, I split my stat points between Mayonnaise because I wanted a healthy build, but not one that sacrifices too much taste. You can vary this based on personal taste, your opponent or the realm. If dealing with healthy opponents, my build is good. If you're dealing with limited stat points, I'd suggest just using whatever you have.

Skills

---------------------------------

Consistency judgement - 20 (Required)

Taste judgement - 20 (Required)

Garlic - 2-4 cloves (Required)

Olive Oil - 1 Teaspoon (Required)

Preparation - Rest of your points

As you can see, we're looking to add 2-4 garlic cloves to our build. I'm a big fan of garlic, so 3 index-finger sized cloves does it for me. Add more if you have smaller cloves, and maybe only 2 thumb-sized cloves. Consider putting less points in garlic if you have a younger realm, a realm that might not appreciate the stench and strength of garlic. Olive oil does a wee bit for consistency and adds a little bit of taste. If you can't find the stat points in your pantry, don't put the unused points in Sunflower Oil or Vegetable Oil, it just isn't the same.

Items

---------------------------------

Armor (Lettuce)---------

- The Romaine Lettuce base armor gives the best return on stat points. A nice rich green color. Be sure to not stick in thick stems. (5/5)

- The Iceberg Lettuce base armor isn't as good, but only if you can't afford the Romaine armor. (1/5)

- The Romaine Lettuce base armor with the Iceberg runeword is okay, but certainly recommended, worth using if you have the runes laying around and need to use them. (3/5)

Weapons (Tongs)---------

- Your weapon will primarily depend on your realm. For the Office Party realm, a nice modern set of tongs will do nicely. Simplicity and style are the keys here. This contrasts with the Gross Neighborhood Kid's Party realm where you'll be playing with a bunch of kiddies, and your tongs might be sitting in their backyard, getting nk'ed in their dog's feces. Suggestions for the ladder include wooden tongs or scissor tongs (easy for lower-levels to use).

Helmet (Bowl)---------

- If you don't have any salad opponents, you may consider going form over function with a large helmet with a cover. The +Plastic attribute will be key here, especially in a realm notorious for low levels. However, on the Organised Potluck PvP realm, use a nice, simplistic, see-through boal. We're looking for something modern here. You may have to build your character as soon as you get into the realm (when you aren't using a helmet with a lid), but it would be well worth it. Keep your armor fresh in a bag.

Jewelery (Croutons)---------

- This jewelry is optional, but it is worth noting that LLDers will tend to eat the Jewelry and set aside everything else. This is good when you have other opponents such as the Greek Salad build (with black olives! LLDers hate black olives!). I suggest using croutons without an empowering taste because your build will do most of the work, hitting required breakpoints.

Gloves (Sweet)---------

This build needs a bit of increased attack speed (sweet). I've read that builds need both increased attack speed and run/walk to work on the realms. You need to wear about 1 teaspoon of either of these. Here are a few options:

- Sugar. Best sweetening gear on the realm. (5/5)

- Maple Syrup. Interesting to have in your stash every now and then. Good for promoting your build in-game. (4.5/5)

Boots (Sour)---------

This is where you'll be getting most of your run/walk (Sour). This will complete the sweet and sour that will come from the dressing. You need to wear about 1 teaspoon of either of these. Here are some options.

- Lemon Juice. This is your typical cookie-cutter ingredient, but still effective. (5/5)

- Red Wine Vinegar or Balsamic Vinegar. This can be effective while trash-talking opponent's. Adds an interesting taste, but we have many other important tastes to do the talking. (4/5)

- Vinegar. This is a last resort. (2/5)

Belts (Extra salad additions)---------

- This can be an interchangeable slot depending on your realm or opponent. LLDers will go wild for bacon bits, but they certainly aren't aethetically pleasing for HLDers. Consider using fresh bacon for this slot if required. (2/5)

- If you like, you can always throw on a Parmesan sprinkle on the final product. In most realms, you will sit around looking for an opponent for at least 20 minutes, so it's crucial to have a good-looking intial presentation. This certainly isn't required. (4/5)

Charms

---------------------------------

Charms are important in all builds! If you can't afford these charms, don't even try to make this build! You're looking for a balance, feel free to switch these up or modify them.

- Small Charms of Dried Parmesan. I run my build with high Parmesan, but it depends on your taste. I have 2 tablespoons of Parmesan in my stash at all times.

- Peppered Small Charms. You'll want to have as many peppered small charms until you hit the desired speckly breakpoint. I'd consider trying out your build as you add charms.

- Salted Small Charms. Maybe just a few salted small charms for a bit of taste.

- Milky Grand Charms. These are very important. You will add Milky Grand Charms to your inventory until you are happy with your build's consistency! You've ran salad dressing before, use your judgement!

Dueling Tactics

---------------------------------

Caesar Salad Purist---------

The caesar salad purist will argue with you in-game that you put your stat points in Mayonnaise and Sour Cream instead of Raw Eggs. Easy win, you need to tell the purist that you care about your realm and that you don't want to take any risks on your realm, for the sake of all the players.

Ease: 5/5

Greek Salad---------

You will find a Greek Salad build in every realm. Thankfully, more than 50% of duels will end up with you on top. Your build is stronger with LLDs as well as HLDs.

Ease: 4/5

Macaroni Salad---------

No contest. Just put on your standard gear, and duel.

Ease: 5/5

The Same Caesar Salad Aunt Betty's Been Bringing For Years---------

You have yourself a real battle on your hands. Aunt Betty's been running that build for years. You'll have to try to beat her out on details. Make sure your helmet looks good, really good and make sure you duel as close to town as you can (bring your bowl to the front of the table). Consider using some less-than-optimal gear, and bragging about it in-game. Eg. Hey guys, I used Maple Syrup in my dressing! You might win a few duels like that. Consider using your boots to get a bit of an advantage. Try promoting your stat point spread as a healthier alternative. Make sure your weapons are appropriate for your opponents and realm.

Ease: 2/5

Godspeed. You can find me on the realms. Just hope you don't have to duel me. Especially if you're *Susan from Accounting...|||if this is your poor attempt on a joke, its a well fail.

This is a serious build. Get the gear from your fridg.. erm.. mules and roll the character.

If you still doubt the build, should we get the statistics forum involved?

Well, that depends, is it a GG taco salad?

*edit* What am I thinking? We need to assume all players are GG. Okay. A taco salad is a drawn out fight, what needs to be done is that you need to stall for time in town before dueling, as long as you can. That's because the taco salad isn't an attrition build. It won't be long until it seconds to pressure and becomes soggy.|||Thank you, this just made my night. |||*steals pants and wallet*
