PvP Zealot Questions

So I was thinking of making a pvp zealot with the following gear and skills:

eth Death Cleaver

eth Shaftstop

coa socketed with ber

alma negra socketed with cham

bloodfists

angelic ammy and rings

hsarus belt and boots

Max Fanaticism, Sacrifice, Zeal, Holy Shield and Blessed Aim.

I thought that this build would do well do to it's massive amount of attack rating and decent amount of deadly strike from the edc. But then I saw a guide where fort was used instead of eth shaft and the damage output was much greater. If I used fort instead of eshaft I would have to change some gears around, and use dungos instead of hsarus to reach 49-50 dr. This one would hit less, but more damage. Which one would be more effective?|||how about just storm shield?

also, i think grief does way more damage, and not sure why you would use Cleaver, when BA is better?

i am not a great zealot fun, but how about using eth BOTD BA for ias and other nice modes? and why alma negra? iirc HoZ > alma, or spirit in max dmg pala shield.|||Eth Death Cleaver is an effective weapon and from experience I have found it hits a lot more often than eBOTD (the -33% Target Defense on the eDC plays a huge role in this).

Everett - Stormshield. I know how you feel about the Alma Negra but a Stormshield will solve your DR issues.

Oh and BTW, I think the whole concept of making a zealot with ridiculously high AR is great. Hitting more often = more damage. Keep us posted on this build.

more effective then with low ar. dont forget, you might find ppl with 50k def, and only high AR could hit them :P|||That build you posted is fairly similar to the best all-around build I managed to make. Your version will have considerably more AR but less defense. Let me know how it works out.

Which one were you referring too, the one in my original post or after I revised it and put fort on?

And you are right alphaz, I failed to mention that I would have put a 15 ias jewel in the coa, probably with some ed% as well to reach the breakpoint.|||The original. I didn't try it with Hsaru's though. I also used a different weapon.
