is salvation considered gm or bm?

i was reading through the gm pvp rules and one portion stuck out to me.

the rules state that Resistance Auras are considered a sorb item if it is flipped on, or more than 1 point is put into it.

so my questions are:

a) is salvation considered a 'Resistance Aura' (note the caps) or do only the Resist Light/Fire/Cold auras count as such?

b) if the answer to a) is 'no', does that mean i can wear a raven and turn on salvation to fight, let's say, a blizz sorc?

any input would be greatly appreciated.|||Hmm, the other auras act as stack and alter max res, but salvation itself doesn't do the max thing.

I'd say it's GM, but since it's already stacking so high, other pieces (like a raven as well) becomes BM.|||stacking, as long as your max resists are not concerned, has always been GM on my realm (europe nonladder) and doesnt count as sorb.

and i would claim it is like that on every realm usually. if you want to participate in a certain pvp league or tournament special rules may be appied but in general 1v1 there is no limit for stacking res. this includes salvation. i would probably even welcome it since you are not able to use your main aura while using salvation.

since, to me, stacking is totally normal, i dont have problems with people using a raven together with salvation. it's just legit sorb.|||ok thanks a lot for the input guys!|||yeah its because hard points in resist cold/lite/fire add to max res. in general more than 85% = BM.|||Also, that's the passive side, but when actively using the aura, the max not only increases, but more than having points in and using another main aura.|||Salvation is always 100% GM, regardless of other gear.

Single Res Auras are, imho, GM so long as they aren't used in conjunction with other sorb gear for that element.

the thing a lot of people forget about those Auras is that you take a massive damage penalty in order to use them. with mah smiter, when i flip on Salvation or Resist Lightning, i'm NOT using Fanatacism.

if you are in a league or private duelling situation where >85% resists to an element is considered BM, then abide by those rules.

fyi: the main reason I maxed out resist lit was to make myself immune to FC zons. if there were no FC zons, i'd probably have maxed out Charge instead.
