Safety Crafting Shield an option?

+ (10-30)% Enhanced Defense

Magic Resistance +(5-10)%

Magic Damage Reduced By (1-2)

Damage Reduced By (1-4)

Well I posted a similar post in the necro forum but i want to take the opinion too for the general PVP forum, and maybe for other classes.

It's possible that a Safety Crafted shield with a possibility of a 10% magic absorb could be a good option against a bonemancer or a Hammerdin 1v1? When i say good, i say a viable option compared to the other shields possibles. Im specially interested and how it would be for a necro and compared to his other possibilities (homunculus, darforce, spirith -assuming that i can achieve 125fcr with others items-, etc) assuming that you don't need elemental resistances and maxblock.

My main doubt, is if this 10% absorb could compensate the loss of +skills or FHR

Of course, in the case that there is 10%MA and other good mods.|||these shields are just junk. they can't have FCR or skills, they can't have more than 20% all resists...

best possible mods for this would be:

20 all resists

2 soc

20 block 30 block speed

+40 life

10% magic resist

2 mdr

4 dr

the above mods would be so rare you'd have to do 10s of thousands of crafts to get one even remotely like this. and even then i'd rather have homunculus.

10% magic resistance is simply not worth all of that. it would be much simpler just to stack +life gear and get 11% more life.|||Against hammer or boner you dont need stack resistances.

The real deal is +skills and fcr

Vita compared with a spirith can be solvented with a +40 mod (+sockets) -on characters with +2 life for each vitapoint-, and potentially have more than the +44 life of the spirith. If 2 socketed the same as for the FHR.

With homunculus, the point is the +2 and the energy, but in some configurations the energy lack can be compensed.

I understand what you say, only want to explore the possibilities more. And I think that the real question is +skils/fcr vs 10%absorb
