Flamebear

So I am returning to D2 after about a 2 year break. I'm sick of enigma builds, so I want to try making one of these. Some questions:

If I recall correctly, fireclaws is unblockable. is this true?

Also, does conviction still stay on enemies for a bit after you take it off? I was wondering if putting infinity on switch is worth it, kind of the opposite of using rabies Rabies then switching to death's web.

Thank you!|||Unfortunately fireclaw is blockable also conviction stays on for so little time that it isn't worth trying it.|||Ha. I hate elemental builds because of overstacked resists and I hate melee builds because all of my attacks get blocked.

Instead of avoiding both, I get the worst of both worlds.

I guess I should just pick an established build that sounds interesting.|||Why not just wield a conviction weapon and solve both problems at once? You lower their resistances AND their defence!|||Shifters rely on the IAS from weapons only so an Infinity will be too slow and you will lak a shield.|||Just because an attack is blocked doesn't mean it's unsuccessful. with good ar and damage (which is very possible with a fireclaw bear) you can easily take on most people.

I've seen bears with damage upwards of 14k and they 1-hit smiters.

-brick|||That's very true. My fc wolf/bear had some pretty awesome/lucky wins against some smiters and even the odd barb or two. Just don't expect to win too often against high def chars.
