able to avoid desynch with firewall?

I was dueling a sorc with my hdin and she was throwing firewalls all around me. she told me that, if I hit it, I appear back into synch (my desynch ends). is this a proven method to do that? is it useful, or what?

I'm wondering because I want to use on my sorc, but not if it's a useless trick.|||I really doubt it.

Use Hydra.|||I've seen it used vs zons, and I started using it too vs bowazons. It stuns them and hurts them abit, Don't know if it's helps against synch.
