IAS in shield adds onto weapon?

[:1]So I want to get a fool's axe, it's an ettin axe, but it only has 30% IAS. If i put a 40/15 in SS, would that make it a total of 45% IAS?|||Yes. IAS from everywhere adds to the weapons be it gloves, helm, shield, etc... The only time it doesn't apply is in bear (wolf too?) form. When in that form only the IAS on the weapon counts towards speed.|||Off weapon IAS doesn't work at times, for example, whirlwind breakpoints are based on on-weapon-IAS only.

What build is that axe for?|||Forgot about Whirlwind. Is it just WW, Werebear, and Werewolf that only use the weapon's IAS?|||in many cases, weapon ias works to a greater or lesser degree than off weapon ias, so it's better to generalize the two instead of listing all the differences. similarly skill ias is also different than the other two.|||it's for whirlwind. wow, well that kills that plan then. too bad, the axe had amazing min and max dmg too :{|||Edit: Nevermind.|||Why not put a shael in it? (Hubb said this, then edited, dunno why)
