MLD Blizz Sorc help needed

[:1]I found a +2sorc/3blizz/3cold mastery/20fcr/etc orb (lvl51) req. that i'm gonna build around. I think i'll make a lvl 57ish, so i can use cta. I have 2 main questions to anyone with any mld blizz knowledge.

1) what shield to use? Spirit Mon & jmod, both have such high strength req., i'm not sure if its worth it. Any suggestions?

2) vita or es? I know the age old debate, but not sure if one outshines the other at this lvl.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a build or thread I would appreciate it.

thx in advance|||A lot of people are going to tell you that level 57 isn't MLD. I'd have to agree with them, you're using high runes at that point & there is a big difference in power vs. the traditional level 49 max MLDers.

Many would say level 51 isn't MLD, but you might be able to get away with it for the sake of the orb. A shame it wasn't rlevel 42-49.|||Quote:

thx|||i agree, not an MLD.|||1) Look for a Tower Sheild of Deflecting. Yes, one less socket, but you wont have to commit 156 str to it. If you want a max block set up to deal with chargers and such, stick a whistans somewhere in your stash.

2) Only go ES if you have a good +ES buff staff as well as very nice mana charms. Otherwise its just a huge waste of time. Ive always prefered vita myself with max block, but a well geared ES sorc will usually outlast a vita in the end.

There is a rare mld bracket thats lvl 58 (usually use by melee before you have access to Fort and such at 59) but the bulk of MLD is done in the 37-49 ranges.

Id say before you put any effort in to obtaining nice mana charms for an ES bulid, to just build it vita and get used to the mechanics of playing that character at that level. Ive seen too many people pour a ton of resources into a lld or a mld only to find they either dont like it or it doesnt end up working as well as they thought it might have (i.e. Frozen Orb lvl 30 sorcs. DONT EVER TRY IT.)
