quick pvp zealer question

wondering which setup is better for bo switch for a pvp zealot. i have been using cta + spirit (for the higher bo) since cta was introduced . but i recently dueled a zealot using cta + hoz. So, out of curiosity, i did some testing myself. I find that with the spirit + cta on switch i gain about 100ish life (give or take a few). And with the hoz + cta on switch i gain about 1000kish def (give or take a few).

So, from a melee pvp point of view, which setup do you think is more beneficial? The cta+hoz setup for higher def or the cta+spirit for more hp?

thx for your opinion.|||easy: BO w/ spirit, then put hoz+HS prebuff mace and buff holy shield.|||yea that would be the best choice. but i am one of those people that are too lazy to keep switching shields every time i have re-buff. so, let say if you can only choose one, which setup will you go with?|||That would depend on your current level, defense, life and who you usually pvp against. Figure it out :P|||hi, thx for your input, hubb. but what do you mean "who you usually pvp against"??? because i already mention melee pvp in my first post. as far as figuring it out, i post this topic here to seek other people opinions. because when it comes down to the number is 100ishp extra hp vs. 1000kish extra def, which in the end is only a slight difference. and from my experience from dueling in pvp melee since 1.09, it usually comes down to luck when you and your opponent is both using top end pvp gears. the only exception i see is when i come across one of those that use perfect everything, including a full inventory of 3/20/20 (those usually win). but i have defeated some that have used perfect everything gear with my definitely not perfect gear; not sure what charms they were using thou.

overall, i am seeking fellow melee pvp zealot opinion on this thing. so, which setup is more beneficial, the bit more defense, the bit more life, or it doesn't really matter because the difference is too minute.|||i'm no high level zealot expert, but when melee characters get to a certain point, it's all random chance. the closer you (and your opponent) are to perfect, the more the deadly strikes and crits determine the outcome. if i had to say i'd go for more life as AR and Def both start to matter less the more of each you get.|||Quote:

yeah, that kinda what i thought at first. but just wanted to seek other people prospective on it. so i guess, i stick with old setup for a bit more life. once again, thanks for the input, cralingdeadman.|||The reason I used cta/Hoz on my PvP zealot, was for that build I used some high str gear. So what a lot of zealots with that build will do is use cta/Fal'd hoz on switch, the +str on the hoz lets you equip Levi which also has +str so it stays equip when you switch weapons and also lets you equip rends, and coa. You end up with a little more life this way because of the extra 30 pts into vita and you also get a higher lvl HS as mentioned its win/win.|||listen to this man. he knows zealots.
