Max block for bone necro?

[:1]with my 125 FCR necro build atm... im using a spirit to reach this

(yes i know u can reach it with a SS... but i like the fcr ammy, and circlet)

is it worth trying to get max block using a regular spirit monarch?

or will the extra life pay off?|||Never go max block with a spirit monarch. You'll block so slow the first melee you come across will eat you alive because of blocking rate, and you'll have terrible hp because spirit takes like 300 dex to get max block with at level 90 or so.|||Quote:

I think the common consensus on this is No. The dex investment to go max block using a Spirit Monarch shield is simply too high and unfeasible. In my mind, going max block with a Spirit Monarch shield is akin to a glasscannon Zon, but without evade, avoid and dodge skill to help; plus you don't even get the added dmg benefits by adding dex like Zons do.

Necros can go max block with stormshield, homu, etc. Just not with a Spirit Monarch.|||Quote:

No dont go mb with spirit unless you are a pally. Like you said in your post you can hit 125% fcr with ss so go with 125/86 mb setup using ss. You will also need 50% dr for safety too so ber should either go in ss or helm. But me I would prefer putting the ber rune in the helm.|||You either go homonc/stormshield max block or vita spirit high dmg I kill you before you kill me.

Myself am planning on building a BM necro max dmg white 8 bonespear with revives and plan on using revives/iron maiden versus melee chars. I dont reeally care for the BM/GM discussion, for me in pubs there is 1 rule: kill before u get killed.

Maybe that will floatyour boat better. Plus revives makes you immune to hammers using autolock hack -.-|||Quote:

still can't beat es/fb sors and druids.

so what's the point?

it's not as if necs struggle against melee or hammerdins anyway.|||Druids can be beaten, just requires some skill.

Obviously everything can be beaten by out playing the opponent, but the druid still has an advantage over you.

But if u really want MB go stormshield and stormshield ONLY(Eld-ed). Hommun is a terrible choice. Because MB without DR on a nec is just as useful as tits on a cockroach

Then how would your necro stay alive vs barbs that ww and pallys that charge? With low block, it makes it easy for weapon swinging character to kill your necro. So mb is kind of a must vs ww and charge lock.
